Ferry to Tangier: discover its secrets
Arriving at Tangier Med by ferry is the perfect way to discover the city and Northern Morocco. The routes offered by Baleària, Algeciras Tangier and Malaga Tangier, disembark at the new Tangier Med port, located only 50 kilometres from the city. So, take your car with you and get driving once you cross the Strait of Gibraltar!
As soon as you step off the ferry in Tangier, you will be able to immerse yourself in the bustle of the Medina, exploring its streets and finding monuments like the Grand Mosque, or visiting museums such as the American Legation Museum.
Slightly further from the urban centre, you will find Perdicaris Park, a green lung in Tangier where you can enjoy a day with your family in the recreational areas as you admire the views of the Mediterranean. If you continue your route west of Tangier, you will find Cap Spartel which, from the lighthouse, offers the best panoramic views of the Strait of Gibraltar. Your next stop will have to be the mythological Caves of Hercules. Drive south, leaving the Bakassem and Achakar beaches behind, to experience their uniqueness for yourself.
Tangier’s diverse coast is 7 kilometres long with beaches of both white and black sand. Exploring it is even easier if you take your own car on the ferry to Tangier Med, and by doing so, you will also be able to take all the luggage you need with you in your car.
At the following link, you will find all the information you need for your trip to Tangier: timetables, rates, and frequency of the Algeciras - Tangier and Malaga - Tangier routes. Book now with Baleària!
