Can I buy a ticket with an unspecified return date?

To confirm the return crossing with an Open fare ticket, contact 902 160 180  (from abroad please call +34 96 642 87 00) and give the booking localiser code.  The date you choose for the return sailing will in all cases be subject to available capacity. Can I arrange cancellation insurance?

If you have purchased a ticket with a fare which does not permit cancellation, you can arrange cancellation insurance which will entitle you to a refund of the cost of the ticket (excluding the insurance charge) if for the reasons of force majeure set out in the insurance conditions you are unable to travel. You must arrange the insurance before the booking is confirmed and paid for.

The insurance costs 4% of the ticket price, following application of any charges and rebates, the policy being arranged with the company Europea Seguros de Viaje, to which you should address any ticket reimbursement claims in the event of cancellation.

Insurance also covers the return leg if you have already completed the outbound sailing and any of the circumstances covered arises. The insurance also covers your vehicle in the event of accident or breakdown.

For a return booking, can different passengers sail on the outbound and return crossings?

No, since as indicated in the contract of carriage, the ticket is personal and non-transferable.

If there are any changes to my booking, how will Baleària notify me?

If you have a confirmed booking and there is any change we will inform you by sending an SMS to the mobile phone number which you gave when booking (and which you can alter at any time). In the case of incidents caused by bad weather, you can also access information via the website and the recorded message on the Incident Information Phoneline (902 169 189), as well as the information screens at the ferry terminals.
