Baleària is collaborating in the transport of emergency, rescue and civil protection teams to Morocco who are involved in aid work in the country after the terrible earthquake in the province of Al Hauz. The company has offered its services to the Moroccan, Spanish and French authorities. Baleària has already dispatched a team of volunteers from the Balearic Islands to Morocco, including police officers and rescue dogs, as well as a team of firefighters from Zaragoza who have set sail from Algeciras to Tangier Med.

The shipping company has been in direct contact with the Moroccan authorities since Saturday to offer its cooperation and it has made all its connections with Morocco and the rest of the routes where it operates available, in order to prioritise and speed up the transfer of personnel, medical equipment and any humanitarian material that may be required.

Meanwhile, the Baleària Foundation and its team of volunteers has launched a solidarity collection of materials and equipment in all its offices to address the health and humanitarian needs of those affected by the incident.

As a company that has deep roots in the country and which has been committed to its people for 20 years, Baleària is showing its complete solidarity with the Moroccan people by channelling and facilitating the needs of the authorities and NGOs, as well as prioritising the transport of firefighters, ambulances and rescue teams to Morocco.

To collaborate with the effort and facilitate the transport of emergency teams to Morocco, interested persons and organisations can contact the Baleària Foundation via their email address ([email protected]), the customer service centre (912660215), or the local offices.
