The latest natural gas addition

The Martín i Soler, one of the four ferries the shipping company built between 2009 and 2010 to make a qualitative leap in passenger services, was retrofitted in the spring of 2021 to run on natural gas and be more environmentally sustainable. Additionally, it has been equipped with the latest technologies to become a smart ship and offer state-of-the-art services during the journey.

The aim of Baleària's smart ship is to significantly improve the on-board experience for customers. These new services are designed to make the journey easier before boarding and to enhance your experience throughout the crossing. Accessing the ship or your accommodation with your phone, enjoying digital content on demand or being able to talk via WhatsApp are some of the improvements introduced by this new technology

This Baleària ship offers extensive connectivity thanks to the on-board Wi-Fi signal, with access to the network available by purchasing vouchers, allowing you to stay connected throughout your trip.

The 'Martín i Soler' offers a Whatsapp connection throughout the crossing.

Pets on board, replace with PET VIDEO SURVEILLANCE

Given Baleària's firm commitment to travel with pets, our smart ships offer customers the chance to keep an eye on their animals the whole time, using a video surveillance system. This means that passengers can use their smart phone to see how their furry friends are behaving during the journey.

Smart TV

This smart ship has Smart TV in the cabins, offering access to all the content of the digital entertainment platform. So, while you travel, you can continue watching your favourite series or discover new films

This vessel features digital signage throughout the lounges and passenger deck. These announce safety measures as well as showing information from the company, including news and weather information.

The 'Martín i Soler' has a self-service restaurant, an à la carte restaurant and a cafeteria open throughout the year. In high season, the ship also has an outdoor cafeteria.

This ship has a shop that sells a variety of gift items. Also, if you are a Baleària Club member you can enjoy additional discounts.

PRM

The Martín i Soler has 12 adapted seats, adapted toilets in the common areas, 4 safety anchors for wheelchairs, and 5 special cabins (2 for people with reduced mobility and 3 for people with sensory impairments), as well as lifts between all decks.

Families

For those travelling with their family, Baleària ships have an area set aside for our youngest passengers, with games, and entertainment from magicians and entertainers on board in the summer months.

Terrace and swimming pool

The 'Martín i Soler' has a large terrace featuring furniture made from recycled plastic bottles and a swimming pool where you can enjoy the crossing in the open air.

Calm Kennels

The Martín i Soler ferry has 24 kennels, 34 cages, a walking area and a dog park so that pets can travel comfortably.
