In 2020, the ferry 'Sicilia' was re-engined to run on gas, making it the sixth vessel in the fleet powered by this clean energy. This ship is the sister ship of the 'Nápoles', the first ship that the company re-engined to natural gas. It is a ferry that, in addition to being eco-efficient, features all the technology needed to be a 'smart ship'.

Reduced Mobility

The entire Baleària fleet is adapted for people with reduced mobility. All the company's ships have adapted seating and bathrooms, as well as special anchoring points for wheelchairs and equipped cabins. The ships also facilitate on-board access by people with reduced mobility, thanks to lifts and escalators. Baleària staff can likewise handle any special requirements on board.

Families

For those travelling with their family, Baleària ships have an area set aside for our youngest passengers, with games, and entertainment from magicians and entertainers on board in the summer months.

Calm Kennels

The 'Sicilia' has calm kennels with video surveillance so that you can keep an eye on your pet throughout the crossing. This area is equipped with a dog park and a walking area.

Pet-friendly cabin

There are 8 pet-friendly cabins. The adapted floors in these cabins are vinyl, and a special cleaning protocol ensures maximum hygiene. In addition, if booked, customers can ask the crew for a drinking fountain/feeder and a platform with a puppy pad.
