High-speed connections to the Balearic Islands in summer

Baleària is increasing its regular services to the Balearic Islands by adding high-speed sailings to meet the strong demand for travel to the islands during the summer season.

This summer, the shipping company Baleària is once again combining the comfort of ferries, which operate all year round, with the speed of fast ferries on all its routes to the Balearic Islands.

To Menorca

Baleària has refurbished the passenger accommodation on the fast ferry Cecilia Payne and added new digital services to improve the experience of passengers travelling daily from Barcelona to Ciutadella and Alcúdia, one of the most popular connections during the summer season. With capacity for 800 passengers and 200 vehicles and a top speed of 38 knots, the vessel departs Barcelona every day at 4.30 pm, arriving in Menorca and Majorca at 8 pm and 10 pm respectively.

 

 

To Formentera

The only direct route between mainland Spain and Formentera expands its summer schedule to two sailings a day. The fast ferry Ramon Llull leaves Dénia early in the morning and returns
at night, making day trips, weekend breaks or a few relaxing days in Formentera possible. In addition, the shipping company offers around 30 sailings a day between Ibiza and Formentera.

To Ibiza and Majorca

The Dénia-Ibiza-Palma route is served all year round by the innovative fast ferry Eleanor Roosevelt. Passengers can therefore reach Majorca at high speed on this vessel or via the
service from Barcelona, which calls at Menorca. During the summer, the fast ferry Jaume I provides additional services on the route to Ibiza, with crossings from Dénia taking just two hours.

Baleària also operates year-round ferry services from Valencia and Barcelona to Ibiza, Majorca and Menorca.
